We currently care for four and a half horses that live in a consistent herd with a clear definable herd hierarchy. Each horse has learned us something completely different about horse management and hoof care. Allow us to share the ups and downs of life with Soli, Boncey, Nanny, ‘Barefoot’Bill and Jenny........

Soli has lived with us for six years. Much misunderstood, he had already made his way through seven owners in as many years. The advert and Soli were definately not the same horse.

We thank the lying B#!^*$D who sold him to us however because he is a one of a kind and he has taught us that you can know little about horses despite owning them for over 20 years ! ... Sol : thanks for the education.

Soli’s complex metabolic issues have gave us first hand experience of a horse who needs a lot more dedication than ‘just a trim....’

Jenny was our first ‘inevitable’ rescue as a result of working with horses professionally. An instructor and good friend was providing lessons for Jenny’s owner. They said the pony’s feet needed a good trim - biggest white lie of the year but her ‘healing’ started right then after many years of suffering  !. Jenny was crippled and chronically laminitic .
Movement and diet have been crucial for Jenny’s recovery.

Barefoot Bill. 7 years old. Never shod and owns spectacular hooves. Prefers galloping over rocks to walking on them.

Boncey. 7 year old mare. Never shod and her hooves are some of the toughest we have seen and will do absolutely anything.

More hoof pics coming soon !!!
