Welcome to the web site of Ross and Mel Barker.  We welcome  all horse owners and professionals interested in learning more about barefoot hoof care as an alternative to traditional metal shoeing. We care for horses recovering from hoof pathology, horses coming out of shoes and going through transition, as well as horses on routine trim cycles.
Our site offers education and insight into barefoot horses and covers a multitude of areas that impact the hooves. It is evident from the discussion and shared experience of barefoot professionals and owners that their is no ‘half way house’. Failing to address areas which effect the hoof, aside from the trim itself, will influence the potential  of a barefoot horse.
